Privacy Policy of TinygameStudio for the Loco Sandbox VR game on Meta Quest and its mod maker website. Last updated 4 October 2026.
Loco Sandbox is made and published by TinygameStudio, who owns this privacy policy and is responsible for the game's data. In this policy "we" and "us" mean TinygameStudio. Contact: max@niage.es
Your settings, your gorilla's name and fur colour, your sand, the cosmetics you own, quest progress, the mods you added, and the list of players you muted or blocked. This stays on your headset. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
Online play runs on Unity Gaming Services (by Unity Technologies). When you go online:
| What | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous player ID made by Unity (not linked to your Meta account) | To put you in rooms and keep your shared maps apart from others | As long as the game is installed |
| Your gorilla name, fur colour, cosmetics and movements | So other players in your room can see you | Only while you're in the room |
| Your voice (only while voice chat is on and you're talking) | Live voice chat with the players in your room | Not stored: it's passed straight to the other players |
| Maps you choose to publish from build mode | So other players can find and play them | Until you replace them or ask us to remove them |
| Player reports (who was reported, the reason, and who reported) | To keep online play safe | As long as needed to handle the report |
The game reads your Meta user ID on your headset and compares it with a public list of creator IDs it downloads from locosandbox.netlify.app, to see whether you have a creator badge. Your ID stays on your headset; it is shown to you on the creator board so you can send it to us if you make videos about the game. If you send it to us, we only use it to add your badge, and we remove it from the list when you ask.
The game asks to use your microphone for voice chat. If you say no, or switch Voice chat off in the settings, nothing from your microphone is ever sent. You can mute any player, or everyone, on the players wall in the lodge.
The mod maker at locosandbox.netlify.app runs in your browser. The mods you make are turned into a short code on your own device. Nothing you type is sent to us, and the site doesn't use cookies or tracking.
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. The game never asks for personal details, and online play only uses the anonymous player ID described above.
You can play fully offline, switch voice chat off, and delete everything on your headset by uninstalling the game. To ask a question, or to have a published map or a report about you removed, email us at max@niage.es. We answer requests to see, correct or delete data about you within 30 days.
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
